I've been a patient at this surgery for about 20 years. I'm fortunate that I do not need to see a dr often, but I've been really happy with the service I've received. However......
It used to be easy to make an appointment, either by telephone or using he NHS app but recently it has become very difficult.
The staff are pleasant but they are unable to give out appointments that do not exist.
In the absence of an email address or any other obvious way of contacting someone at the surgery I feel compelled to write this review and urge anyone at the surgery who has the ability to influence the situation to re-think the current process of booking non-urgent appointments. The current system really isn't working for patients.
To book a non-urgent appointment you need to call at 12noon then you can make an appointment for 2 days time or 7 days time - provided there are appointments available.
for 2 days in a row I have called a few minutes before 12 and joined a queue. Today my call was answered by 12:05 but all non-urgent appointments had gone. So now I have to try again tomorrow. This seems like a great way for a non-urgent issue to either become urgent or for people to get fed up and ignore potentially serious issues. I have to add that I am trying to make an appointment which the Dr asked me to do (via econsult)
Again, I urge the surgery to rethink the appointment process because its not working.
