About: Adult Health & Support Services / Primary Care Out of Hours

(as the patient),

I attended Douglas street, Hamilton OOH service after a NHS 24 referral.  Within 10 minutes I received a call from them.

My experience has been a great one. Went to reception who told me to have a seat in the waiting area. Within 10 minutes a nurse came out to take me to get my blood pressure and temperature and asked some questions for example if anything changed with my symptoms before arriving. She was lovely and made me feel relaxed. She then took me back to the waiting area to wait for the clinician.

When the clinician came out within a few minutes she was lovely. She went over my medical history and medication and recent health issues. She was thorough, listened and genuinely understood my concerns. She explained everything to me regarding what she could see in my ear and gave me a prescription to help.

From start to finish I was really happy with the OOH set up. Very quick, patient, understanding, caring and straight to the point. They were outstanding.
