"Hampshire Equipment Services"

About: Community Therapy Services / Totton and Waterside

(as a relative),

Parkinson's disease has robbed my father of his mobility so the delivery of a hoist and pressure relief mattress was eagerly awaited.

Unfortunately, the first delivery arranged had to be aborted as the support staff to supply training had double booked themselves - nobody was aware and Josh (Hampshire Equipment Services) had already inflated the new mattress but we couldn't move my father without support. Josh chased everyone but the visit had to be aborted.

One week later, we tried again but there were no bars to adjust the bed. We thought it would be another missed opportunity but Josh rang around to find the required parts and rearranged his schedule so that he could come back later the same day and complete the job.

Still awaiting training to use the hoist but I cannot praise Josh enough for his efforts on our behalf. Thank you.

Hello, Thank you for your feedback. We can send your message of thanks to Josh at Hampshire Equipment Services. Your message relates some matters around moving your father and use of the hoist. I wonder if you are able to send further information about this to my email address (eleanor.golding@southernhealth.nhs.uk) to see where Lymington and New Milton Therapy team may learn. Kind regards, Ellie Golding, Team Lead.
