"Positive bowel screening"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Endoscopy

(as the patient),

I had a positive bowel screening result from a routine bowel screening test. Having had a colonoscopy with polyps removed ( 1 which turned out to have cancerous cells ), a CT scan and further sigmoidoscopy 3 months later.

The care I have received has been so quick with  excellent communication and treatment. All the staff have been amazing and professional. My consultant has been excellent explaining thing's and telephoning me with results.

I am so grateful for all this fantastic care from the NHS.

Good Morning, Taurus5

I am very pleased you had a positive experience in our department, especially as it can be a daunting experience for many patients.

Thank you very much for taking the time to give feedback, we love to hear when things go right and as well as how we can improve and provide the best service possible for our patients.

Many thanks,

Lena
