"The atmosphere was calm, purposeful and pleasant"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Medical Assessment Unit (Alexandra Ward)

(as a service user),

I was recently referred to the SDEC team at North Devon District Hospital. I found the team to be very welcoming, created a calm environment, were very pleasant and efficient. This was from the receptionist through to the healthcare professionals.

I felt comfortable, cared for and respected. They were also very thorough and followed up on a related, but out of range indicator. Fortunately I came through clear but I watched as the team gave care and sustenance for those they were treating for serious health problems. The atmosphere was calm, purposeful and pleasant.

Well done all at SDEC and North Devon Hospital.

The only improvement I can think of is signage to SDEC.

Dear JonnieG,

Thank you taking time to reflect on your positive experience that you had from the SDEC department.

I am glad that we were able to meet you expectations,

I am sorry that there were problems with the signage.Myself or the acute medical management team would be happy to receive more feedback via telephone - 01271 322775 regarding the signage or suggestions on how it could be improved.

Best wishes

Gareth
