After thinking breast feeding was initially going well, following my baby being weighed after a few days, it was identified that she had lost too much from her birth weight. I really struggled with my supply and was advised by the hospital to top up with formula, and was referred to the infant feeding team.
Carol, Clare and all the team were an invaluable support to me and my baby, offering advice, a comfortable and welcoming space and even a shoulder to cry on! Being a drop-in service is really beneficial too, as it takes away the pressure and stress of having to be somewhere on time, especially in the first weeks when you’re adjusting to parenthood!
Knowing that you can get there when you can, and the team will be there to help you. Also, knowing that baby would be weighed every week at the clinic was reassuring and with the comfortable setting, being able to feed whilst getting in person advice/being able to ask questions, provided immediate help. Thank you all again!
