"Genuine care and support"

About: Shanti Medical Centre

I had a very bad experience with the GP I saw today and felt extremely disheartened by his approach, demeanour and reluctance to offer help or support of any kind. I’m not use to this kind of service and I have been under mental Health for a long period of time. At a time when I needed support and help I felt neglected, the GP was inattentive, did not give me eye contact throughout the appointment and was completely un empathetic and cold. I left extremely upset and asked to speak a member of the team at reception. The lady sat me down in a private room and offered a kind hearted ear and listened to my worries and concerns. This put me at ease and I strongly believe if there were many people who showed kindness the way this member of staff did then it would certainly make a lot of these service easier to deal with for people with mental health issues.

Thank you for your positive feedback regarding your care from the Receptionist. A manager came to speak with you also.

The surgery endeavours to provide the best possible standard of care to all our patients and we will continue with regular monitoring and review to enable us to constantly improve the services we offer.
