I attended minor injuries with my niece after we suspected she'd broken her wrist. We were given an appointment time by NHS 24 which meant upon our arrival we were see within 5 minutes. This ensured she could sit comfortably at home until her appointment time and not in a waiting room for hours! The nurse was excellent at caring for us both and checked her over thoroughly. Everything was explained really well and the nurse ensured my niece felt very included in her own care. I particularly liked how my niece was in charge of her own care and the nurse spoke directly to her in most instances. This really promoted her own independence and confidence! We never felt rushed and felt she really took her time when providing care. All our questions were answered and my niece left with a splint and a sling. Her aftercare was explained and we both left feeling at ease. Overall it was a very pleasant experience and couldn't find any faults at all.
