"A valuable learning group"

About: One Recovery Bucks / High Wycombe

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

A valuable learning group. The group felt contained and Karina as straightforward and also approachable. Pete and Karina accepted questions and comments whilst keeping the group moving forward. I found the slides and points of learning understandable – for the first time. I will be using the hot cross bun and an emotions diary. Already I’ve been able with square breathing to stop! before reacting so have prevented a chaotic scene – and then analysing it later (with huge relief).

I shall use the emotions circle to familiarise the groups of emotions. I realise I need to do more work on myself regarding NEED + inner child – so group has helped me to identify that. Thank you x

Thank you so much for your thoughtful feedback, we’re really glad to hear that you found the group valuable and that the learning felt accessible and supportive. It’s great to know that the materials like the hot cross bun model, the emotions diary, and square breathing are already having a positive impact for you. Your reflection on using these tools in real-life situations is powerful – thank you for sharing that. We’re also really encouraged to hear that the group has helped you identify areas for further personal growth around needs and the inner child. Wishing you all the best as you continue that journey, and thank you again for being part of the group.
