"Excellent care from start to finish"

I attended Barnsley Hospital for a gynaecology surgical procedure yesterday carried out on day surgery unit. The standard of care I received from walking through the door to walking out was exemplary. The communication throughout with what was happening at every stage was fabulous, from the anaesthetic team, day surgery team and Gynae ward staff. I was booked an overnight stay on this ward but was well enough to be discharged later the same day - medications to take home were ready and explained fully by the staff in the ward before I left.

As a healthcare professional myself, I’m the first one to admit that I don’t make a good patient!! But credit where it is due, the staff were just amazing. Special thanks to the anaesthetic team for putting me at ease from the get go to the Gynae ward staff who facilitated my speedy recovery and discharge. First class service!!
