"Going the extra mile"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / Outpatients Department (OPD)

(as a service user),

Today I was seen at Ramone building for a walk in blood test. I have quite the needle phobia but the admin member at reception (Wendy) was extremely reassuring. She talked to the ladies taking my blood (Maggie and Lailanie) and gave them a wee heads up. I was very grateful for Wendy going the extra mile for me. Maggie and Lailanie were both very understanding and made me feel so comfortable. Really a 10/10 experience, don't think I've ever been this well cared for before when having bloods done.

Hi there,

First of all, thank you so much for taking the time to post on the Care Opinion platform! It is so wonderful to here about your experience in the blood room. We value our admin team just as much as our nursing team and it is no surprise that Wendy was very reassuring to you, she is an asset to our team! I will pass on your kind words to Lailani & Maggie also, they are fabulous nurses and we are very proud to have them in our team. I'm glad that you were reassured and had a positive experience!

Thanks again!
