"They were all fantastic"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

Went to Lincoln hospital recently and they were fantastic. From the paramedics to the all the staff in A&E in Resuss.

High lactate levels, normal is 7 and mine were 17 or lactic acidosis, can be caused by a variety of factors, including decreased oxygen delivery to tissues, impaired oxygen utilization by cells, increased lactate production, or decreased lactate clearance.

Severely dehydrated due to having no bowel and drinking sea salt with my water.  Very high heart level.

Hi Roz346

Thank you for sharing your experience which I have shared with the team. It sounds like you went through an incredibly tough and worrying time, and we’re so pleased to hear that the team at Lincoln Hospital— from the paramedics to the A&E and Resus staff—were fantastic in looking after you. Lactic acidosis and severe dehydration, especially in the context of your complex health needs, are no small things, and it’s a real credit to the team that you felt so well supported throughout. Wishing you strength and continued recovery

Regards

Sharon
