About: Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Cardiothoracic Surgery

(as the patient),

In September 2023 I received heart surgery in the Royal in Edinburgh, to replace a faulty aortic heart valve. The care I received was second to none. The staff were so kind and caring. 

This was followed up by after care in the Cardiac department in Dunfermline, with a check up, help and advice for several weeks. 

I was then offered a place at a cardiac exercise class, for an eight week course. 

Again, everyone very caring and helpful. 

So I have to say, thank goodness for the fabulous NHS.

I was glad to read that you were looked after so well by the staff at Edinburgh Royal following your surgery. I have spoken with one of the Charge nurses who wants to thank you as well for your feedback and to let you know that your comments have been shared with all staff within the Cardiothoracic Unit. They also appreciate your kind words about the care you received.
