"I really appreciate their help"

About: Airdrie Locality Support Service / Integrated Rehab Team

(as the patient),

About 10 years ago I started experiencing lower back pain. I tried the usual painkillers and creams and nothing eased it. I attended my Gp who said my age and job was the cause of the pain and to realise that there was nothing much could be done. Through the years it steadily increased and became unbearable. I attended go again who gave me painkillers but they didn’t help.

They referred me to physiotherapists in the community who issued me with aids for my mobility. I really appreciate their help.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. We’re truly sorry to hear about the pain you’ve had to endure over the years—it sounds like it’s been a long and difficult journey. We’re really glad to know that the physiotherapist from Airdrie Rehabilitation Team was able to support you and provide some relief through mobility aids.

Your appreciation means a lot, and it’s a reminder of how important it is to keep advocating for care and support, even when the road feels tough. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if there’s anything else we can do to help—you deserve to feel heard and supported every step of the way.

It’s lovely to know someone understands that it was a long road, there was much more to the journey but space prohibits the story. I will always be truthfully grateful for the care and dedication given to me by Airdrie rehab OT department.
