"General feedback about the ward"

About: Great Oaks Inpatient Unit / Mulberry Ward

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I’ve been on the ward for over a year, I’ve had multiple different consultants and my treatment has been very up and down dependant on the consultant. In general the ward staff are usually supportive through rough times. I have noticed a significant improvement in my presentation since being put on my current combination of medications. The mulberry staff try to follow the least restrictive practice which is good and tend only to use restraint when absolutely neccesssary.

Thank you for giving this feedback. I am sorry to hear that there were some ups and downs with your care and treatment. We try very hard to provide consistent care, and I understand how difficult it must be having different Consultants in your care, as you may feel you are having to repeat things. I assure you that we try to minimise this by ensuring we communicate with colleagues. Thank you for your comment about Mulberry staff, I will share that with them. I am glad you are feeling better, and wish you all the best for the future.

Many thanks on providing feedback on the care you have received as its important. I'm pleased to hear you have made significant improvement. I'm sorry to hear you have felt the change in consultants impacted on you and we will discuss this as a team to learn from this.

I'm glad to hear the ward follow the least restrictive practice and its important for us to continue that. Good luck for the future and I will ensure this is feedback to the team.

Kind Regards

Martin (Matron)
