"I felt like I was not on my own with these challenges"

About: Children and Young People Services / Autism Services

(as a parent/guardian),

I phoned as I was worried about my son and was looking for guidance.

I first spoke to Sarah who put me at ease and reassured me with such kindness and understanding that I felt already more comfortable and hopeful. I then spoke to Louise who was equally lovely and very knowledgeable.

I was anxious about phoning but am so glad I did. Louise reassured me about how to get the help I needed for my son and also gave me help and advice over the phone. I felt like I was not on my own with these challenges. I felt these 2 people will be looking out for my son. I felt trust with them and am just so grateful for their time, at a time when I am worried for him and need professional guidance as to how to help him. They are a blessing and a credit to the organisation.

Thank you.

Dear 'pagerpe94',

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with Autism Services.

I am glad you felt comfortable and hopeful after speaking with both Sarah and Louise, and that the guidance and advice you were given over the phone was supportive. I wish you and your son all the best and thank you for engaging with the service.
