"Visiting times"

About: University Hospital Monklands / Day Surgery

(as a relative),

I feel absolutely disgust that i am told about visiting would be same as the ward my family member was on before going down to day surgery. so i arrive to visit at 2p.m the same time as the previous ward the person who was staff the day i visited told me that i am not allowed. Well i work so there is no other time for me to come back but obvious that the staff dont understand that and try put you out despite your family being sick. I definitely would ask for there to be signs put in place to inform you of visiting times.

Dear L.cas.

Thank you for sharing your experience of University Hospital Monklands, Day Surgery.

I am sorry to hear that your family member is unwell in hospital and that you were given the wrong information regarding visiting times in Day Surgery. I can only imagine how frustrating this would be for you given you had to get the time for visiting around your work commitments.

I will ensure your feedback is given to the ward and ask that they consider advertising their visiting hours more clearly for visitors to see.

I hope your family member is recovering well.

Best Wishes,

Jenni
