"treated with utmost respect"

About: Older People’s Mental Health and Memory Service / Southern Sector

(as a carer),

My father-in-law had a recent memory assessment. We were both treated with compassion and empathy. The CPN Robert was amazing in putting my father in law at ease and listened to everything he had to say and with the utmost respect. His professionalism and how he dealt with my father in law was fantastic.

My name is Claire Maguire and I am the Interim Head of Service for Older People's Mental Health Services.

I want to thank you sincerely for sharing this positive experience that both your Father in law and you have had with the Memory Assessment service.

Approach and communication are vital in the caring profession and I am delighted to hear that you received this with such compassion and empathy and your Father in law was comfortable and at ease during his assessment.

This post will be shared with Robert, which he will be delighted to receive.

Your feedback is very welcome to ensure that safe, effective, compassionate and well led care is delivered at all times.

Kind regards

Claire
