I called the dental receptionists twice in one day to manage my husband's urgent referral. Initially, they informed me that it was not classified as urgent and asked me to call our family dentist to change the referral. However, our dentist confirmed that it was indeed urgent and that they had made a mistake. When I called the dental receptionists back, they found another reason not to assist me; this time, they said they couldn't see me as my husband's next of kin. This was the first time I have encountered such rudeness and inability to help from NHS staff. It’s a pity that their behavior reflects poorly on the entire department.
