"Repeat prescriptions"

About: The Forest Practice

Can I please make a suggestion that if you cancel someone's repeat prescription you inform them. I have just been told my husbands prescription was cancelled as it qas not due. Firstly this was in correct as it is due every 28 days and secondly we waited 72 hours before attending the GP and finding out it was cancelled. The receptionist re-requested it and we now have to wait another 72 hours without tablets. Unfortunately this is not the first time. Being as we get constant reminders about other services is there no way you can advise if a prescription has been cancelled and why? Thank you Janice

Dear Janice,

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback.

I am sorry to hear of your concerns. If a prescription is cancelled for any reason or needs further discussion then patients are informed accordingly.

Unfortunately, I am not able to comment further on this particular case as I don't have all the details. Could you contact me directly at maaz.turk@nhs.net and provide more details so I can look in to this for you and respond appropriately.

Kind Regards,

Maaz Turk
