"A waste of time, money and resources"

About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Trauma & orthopaedics (wards 26, 27, 61 & 62 )

(as the patient),

Absolutely diabolical treatment. This was my 3rd visit to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for the same issue in as many weeks, this time with a referral for a scan by my GP.

I spent over 3 hours here, for it to be absolutely pointless. I spoke with a doctor, had a scan then was told to wait to see the doctor again for my results. After sitting in the waiting room, with other patients also waiting to see the same doctor, and had been there longer than I had, to be told the doctor had left, hadn't told anyone and couldn't get a hold of them.

The unit was closing and we had to leave. I left the hospital with no answers or results and upon phoning my GP, absolutely no record of me attending.

This was a waste of my time, money in a taxi as the hospital is not easy to get to by bus from my home, and a complete waste of resources.  Absolutely no care or interest in patients at all.
