"A very personalised and professional service"

About: Fife Community Services / Rapid Cancer Diagnostic Service (RCDS) Victoria Hospital / Endoscopy Victoria Hospital / Radiology

After a GP referral I was contacted by Lorna from the RCDS unit at Victoria Hospital to set up an initial consultation with one of the team. Lorna was very reassuring over the phone and explained the process in detail.

I was then contacted by Georgia who gave me the initial assessment and arranged me to have a CT scan and Endoscopy.  The speed of all of this was amazing and I was very impressed.

What was equally impressive was that Georgia organised my hospital appointments around my child care which made things so much easier for me.  All the staff including the radiology department treated me with great respect and in a nice caring way which made me feel special. 

At all times the staff were very up front and answered all my questions in an honest and straight forward way which I appreciated. The team held my hand through the whole process and within two weeks of the referral I had my scans and results. 

Thanks to everyone for a very personalised and professional service.

I’m especially pleased to hear that Lorna and Georgia were able to offer you the reassurance and support you needed at what can be a very unsettling time. The fact that Georgia was able to coordinate your appointments around your childcare needs reflects the compassionate, person centred care we strive to deliver every day.
