I had a terrible follow up appointment after wearing an ECG for a week. I had genuine concerns about heart palpitations. The doctor rang and asked what I wanted! I explained that the appointment had been made by the surgery and she was supposed to have assessed my results. She had clearly not read my results and impatiently started to skim read them while on the phone to me. This is completely inappropriate. She said this looks allright, there is just one blip...but then did not explain. Then virtually put the words in my mouth that it must be stressed, and said that was allright then! No reference to whether I was still under stress, or any proper in depth reading of the results. She has never put a full analysis of the results on my NHS, wearing an ECG for a week doesn't even appear in my list of tests. I would like someone to read the results properly and have a decent conversation with me.
