"Rude locam doctor 31/03/2025"

About: The Alastair Ross Medical Practice

My wife attended the practice with my son on Monday 31st March for my son who has suspected croup due to his sore throat and barking cough in bed at night. When I explaining the situation the locam doctor laughed at my wife at the thought of it being croup and said that fact that he isn’t showing any of the symptoms at the time meant there’s nothing she could do and that she thinks it viral, I understand a lot of illness especially in kids is quite commonly viral but there is a lot of time that it’s something that requires antibiotics or steroids in this case for croup. The point of this review is that fact this doctor decided without actually checking out my son thoroughly that there was nothing wrong with him and made my wife feel so stupid for bringing our son to the doctors that it has upset and angered her the way she was spoken to. Now I have been to the doctors before with both my children aged 4 and 1, but every time I have gone with them the doctor has said you’ve done the right thing bringing them in and that is exactly what this doctor should be doing reassuring parents that the health of their children is important and that that doctors is a place that your welcome bring any concerns about them big or small without feeling embarrassed and victimised by someone who thinks they know better but who judging from the experience simply doesn’t care and would sooner just get through patients to make their job easier.
