"Abortion services through BPAS"

About: Belfast Health & Social Care Trust / The Rose Clinic

(as a service user),

After much deliberation I completed the online form for BPAS abortion services one night. Next morning I was called by one of the nurses who discussed my issues. I was booked in for an appointment in the morning 3 days later to fit around my schedule even though they had to come in early to accommodate me.

At my appointment then nurse was non judgemental, knowledgeable and very helpful. She provided me with everything I needed and gave advice on if I needed further medical care after the appointment which was invaluable as I did. I never expected to be in the position I found myself in but the BPAS service was efficient and welcoming.

I was struggling emotionally with being there in the first place and if they weren't open and friendly it would have made things a lot worse. I appreciate the BPAS service being available and don't know where I'd be mentally without having this service.
