"Blood Tests"

I have been a patient at this surgery for about 30 years & have always been able to have blood tests for NHS hospitals. Last week I phoned for an appointment to have blood tests requested by Salisbury Hospital, only to be advised that they only undertake blood tests requested by their doctors. Please note there is no notification available to make patients aware. From a personal view this change is unacceptable. Instead of a short car journey (please note I no longer drive) & appointment I will have to go to the hospital with no appointment & it will take over 2-3 hours to get there & back, plus all the additional costs
