"Cardiologists saved my mum's life"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Cardiology / Coronary Care Unit Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Emergency Medicine Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as a relative),

I am writing to express my deepest gratitude and appreciation to the incredible NHS team at ARI that saved my mother’s life following her heart attack. When we arrived at the hospital, we were terrified and felt as though we were losing her, but the care and expertise provided by your staff gave us a second chance.

From the moment she was admitted, we could feel the compassion, professionalism, and urgency with which you all responded. Despite the overwhelming circumstances and our initial fear that she might not survive, your team acted swiftly and efficiently, providing the necessary care to stabilize her and give her the best possible chance.

I would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Davidson, the cardiologist who played such a vital role in her treatment. His expertise and dedication were truly remarkable, and we are incredibly grateful for his part in saving her life. The skill, kindness, and attention to detail that Dr. Davidson showed made all the difference, and I will always be thankful for his care.

I cannot thank all the staff at A&E and also coronary care ward 109A enough for your unwavering commitment to her well-being. The ward were so kind to my mum, taking extra special care of her. The skill and dedication shown by every member of the team—from the paramedics and doctors to the nurses and support staff—made all the difference. My mum is now recovering, and it’s because of your care that we have the chance to be with her and see her through this challenging time.

Please extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in her treatment, especially Dr. Davidson. Your work is nothing short of life-saving, and we will be forever grateful for the expertise and kindness you showed during this incredibly difficult time.

Thank you once again for everything you’ve done.

Dear Lisa735,

I'm really sorry to hear about your mum's recent heart attack and I hope she's doing ok and recovering well. That must have been really worrying for everyone but it's good to see she was in such good hands throughout and well looked after.

I'll leave my colleagues at NHS Grampian to respond to your wider feedback but I just wanted to say thank you for the kind comments you made about our staff at the Scottish Ambulance Service who cared for your mum.

All of the NHS staff involved will really appreciate your fantastic feedback - it's really nice when patients and their families take the time to share their experiences and say thank you to the brilliant staff involved.

Thanks again and please pass on our best wishes to your mum.

Take care,

Mark
