The orthopaedic anaesthetist and surgeon were fabulous. Kind and genuinely listened.
Staff on 4F are either wonderful (L & M) or disingenuous (not naming people as unfair). However it’s a hard ward to staff and all staff
respond quickly as expected no matter their personality. It’s quiet at night and hardly anyone buzzes as clearly well cared for in the day time.
Waiting times are mixed but this is not the hospital or ward or department’s fault.
However it is not clean everywhere (bag on floor was filthy) in the bedroom, the waiting room is miserable: no tv, no windows to look out of and chairs are so uncomfortable and the bedrooms are unloved. I wish we paid our NHS properly and ensured it was run properly as it’s pretty much dying when basics like this are being mentioned.
Oh and quote of the day was the cleaner as she huffed in to empty my bin (which was overflowing and a huge bin): they’re obsessed with emptying bins here.
Not much else to say is there!!
