I was induced in 2023 at 39 weeks...all went well, gave birth 24 hours after first contractions. Birth led to episiotomy (not hospital's fault obviously) as it took 1hr45mins of pushing. It was after that it was scary...placenta came too fast... haemorrhaged everywhere...red button pressed...thought I was dying even though felt fine! I will say, the staff did amazing, felt like 100s of doctors came in... assisted etc. I was fine after. No transfusion needed. So grateful for them. Especially to midwives Sarah & Cheryl. Spent 24 hours on ward D and Cheryl made me feel at home. I know I'm just posting now, but I don't think the midwifery services especially at Blackpool get enough credit. Thanks again ✌🏻
