"A really brilliant innovation"

About: United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust / Lincoln-Community Diagnostic Centre

(as a service user),

I am asthmatic and picked up a chest infection which wouldn’t improve in spite of usual antibiotics, inhalers and steroids. My GP saw me and thought I had a severe chest infection for which I would need an x ray . He arranged for me to come to the CDC in Lincoln and the fact they had prolonged opening hours made it very accessible for me as a single parent . It meant I could have my investigation after work and so minimize interruptions to what is a very busy and packed day. The place has good car parking facilities , it’s clean and looks fresh . The admin team are brilliant and register your arrival promptly . Staff are brilliant and supportive.. It’s a really brilliant innovation that offloads from Lincoln County Hospital.

Dear Ina765

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience attending our brand new community diagnostic centre or CDC. I am so pleased to hear that you found it a positive experience and fitted round your needs, I will share your comments with the team - both clinical and reception. It sounds like your experience was just what we want to provide, a easily available service away from the acute hospital site and at times that patients require.

Best wishes

Matron Cathy
