"Dealt with in appropriate, friendly and empathetic way"

About: Ottery St Mary Hospital / Bladder and Bowel

(as the patient),

I was seen within 15 minutes of out-patient appointment time by a professional and friendly nurse, who took a detailed history of my problem and related history. Discussion ensued regarding possible solutions and advice, and a short summary was provided in bullet point form for my use. The after appointment summary was available on MyCare once I returned home. Although no scheduled follow up visit is necessary, I was assured I could contact the service via the G.P. if further problems occur. I felt my difficulties were taken and dealt with in an appropriate, friendly and empathetic way. Many thanks.

Dear JanG51

Many thanks for taking the time to feedback via Care Opinion about your recent attendance. It's lovely to hear that you had a good experience.

I am responding on behalf of the MyCare team as it is noted that you used MyCare to receive information about your attendance. We are really pleased that you found it helpful. I note you say that you are now discharged, which is great, but equally you now have MyCare set up should you ever need to attend again in the future, or if you need to refer back to this attendance. In the meantime the MyCare functionality will be developing, meaning it will be getting even better for our patients to benefit from.

Best wishes.
