"Vasectomy"

Had an appointment at the surgery having been referred by my own practice for a vasectomy.

Throughout the whole process, I was made to feel extremely comfortable in what is - understandably - a quite anxiety-provoking experience. I had a telephone consultation with one of the nurses a couple of weeks prior to my appointment which covered various aspects of the procedure, answering various questions and appeasing any concerns, this really allowed me to enter into my appointment completely at ease on the day.

On the day of my appointment I felt the usual, expected nerves, but these were very swiftly settled after conversation with the doctor and nurse. The procedure was explained again prior to beginning, and each step was vocalised beforehand as to not catch me unaware. The procedure was completely painless for me, and I think that is - in part - due to the relaxed demeanour of the practitioners involved, we had very casual chit-chat about work, football, food, the lot! If I’d have closed my eyes I would’ve been sat in an armchair with a brew, chatting with old friends, rather than laying on a table with my manhood exposed!!

All in all, the entire process was totally effortless and I could not be more complementary of the staff that I came into contact with!
