"It doesn't seem fair"

About: Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust

(as a service user),

I have been referred to the mental health community connectors twice before, once a couple of years ago and then more recently this year.

They put me in touch with a male worker, and I politely asked for a female worker, and each time I received a letter back telling me that I am refusing the service.

All I want is a female worker. They know my medical history and why I need this support from a female and it doesn't seem fair to me.

I've got to go through this process again and it feels like I am going to get refused.

Hello

My name is Natasha and I work in the patient safety, carer and community team. Our team manage, patient feedback, concerns and complaints for Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Trust. I am very sorry to hear that you have been unable to access a female worker and therefore unable to access services..

We would like to ensure we direct your story to the right team, would you please contact our team on 0800 0154334, so that we can get a little bit more information from you on the service you have been accessing and support you to request a female worker.

Thanks

Natasha
