"Forgotten patient"

About: Royal Preston Hospital

Was told to attend at 12:30pm for a blood exam for our 5 year old daughter. We did so. Waited patiently and was told the results would be 2 hours.

Passed on by the day care staff who said that PAU would take it from here. Spoke to the staff about when results would come and simply met with shrug of shoulder and told to wait.

Was told this blood test and results was required weekly but no one seemed to know what was going on. Been here 7 hours and still just being told it’s not their problem with no ideas on when we will be seen. Most nurses are in the staff office and have been for 90 minutes.

Good morning,

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback.

I am sorry to note that you had such a poor experience recently when attending with your daughter.

Please contact our Patient Experience and PALS team on 01772 522972 or via email on PALS@lthtr.nhs.uk should you wish us to look into this matter further.

Kind Regards
