"I couldn't speak more highly about our experience"

About: Hospital at Home / Hospital at Home Monklands

(as a service user),

After being discharged from hospital, my Dad, who is in his 80s and had heart failure, started to become unwell again - similar symptoms to his admission to A&E.

We were referred to Hospital at Home and within a short time Dr Steele had arrived and she could not have been more helpful. She checked my Dad's vitals, re-assessed his medication and spoke to us on a really kind and human level.

She took that time to go through the results from the hospital and explain those really clearly and patiently listened and responded to our questions.

This is Realistic Medicine in practise and the follow up visits from the nursing team were equally supportive. I couldn't speak more highly about our experience.

Dear JenniferG1978

Thank you for taking the time to contact us via Care Opinion. It was really lovely to read your kind comments about Dr Steel, who always goes above and beyond to deliver the most amazing person centered care to her patients.

I was delighted to read that the team had responded so well to help keep your dad out of hospital, and also to provide answers to your questions and reassure you as a family that your dad could be well looked after at home.

On behalf of Service Manager Nicola Kelly, I will ensure Dr Steel and the team are aware of your lovely feedback.

Please pass on our best regards to your dad

Thanks

Hazel
