I accessed the services of the Little Care Hub last year as I am a carer for my disabled adult son.
I hadn’t accessed carer services for a number of years due to working & carer commitments so it was daunting to trace part in a new group and meet new people.
I needn’t have worried as Laura is so friendly and caring I was instantly put at ease. The group was a craft group so it was nice to learn a new skill and chat to other carers in the same position who were also attending the group.
The group then progressed onto sewing ( which I love) , so I’ve had a chance to improve my sewing skills and build friendships within the group.
Going to the group is something I look forward to, having some down time helps me to deal with the challenges of my caring time throughout the week.
Unfortunately this group is now coming to an end and I’m sad not to have this to look forward to as it has helped me so much over the last few months.
