"The care I have received has been second to none"

About: Fife Community Services / Hospital at Home

(as a service user),

Due to home circumstances I wasn't too keen to stay in hospital too long.

I have bronchiectisis with pseudomonous and  after a CT scan it revealed a bad infection in my left lung. I was told I needed intravenous antibiotics and that they would try and get hospital at home as soon as capacity was available. 

I got this after 4 days, and being able to be home was like a medicine in itself. This also freed up a bed in the respiritory wsrd for someone else.

The care I have received has been second to none. The nurses were efficient caring and always cheerful.

I am pleased you were able to go home sooner than expected and have recovered well from your infection. I am even more delighted you found the service to be "second to none".

As a service lead it is extremely reassuring to receive such positive feedback so thank you once again and I hope you remain in good health going forward.
