"I am very happy with the way my treatment is going"

About: Cancer Services / Radiotherapy

(as the patient),

I have been coming to Radiotherapy for about two weeks.

I have had no problems at all. The staff are all very nice and the system works very efficiently. My appointments have been at different times of the day but this is not a problem for me. I do hear the staff re-arranging appointments for folk who have been delayed en route or whose transport has not turned up for some reason, and I think this is marvellous.

The only thing I could mention would be that a couple more toilets would be useful. The toilets are much used!

Car parking is always difficult here but I have to say that we have not experienced too many problems - about 10mins is the most we have had to wait to get a space.

But we do allow plenty of time to get here for each appointment.

I am very happy with the way my treatment is going.

Dear Crosspatch1, thank you for taking the time to feed back your experience so far of our Radiotherapy Department. My name is Bob, one of the Support Workers who would be welcoming you to our department.

It is pleasing to hear that our staff have been very nice and that the appointment system works well for you. We do try to keep to uniform appointment times where possible in order that our patients can organise their lives and transport around them. Traffic delays can always happen and so we do juggle appointment times to ensure that patients receive their treatment.

Car parking is an ongoing issue which our Head of Therapeutic Radiography continues to take to management meetings. I am glad that you have not been too inconvenienced by this. Our toilet facilities are indeed used to capacity and this is also noted by Damian.

On behalf of everyone here, I hope you benefit from your treatments and wish you well for the future.

Kind regards... Bob
