"So thankful for all the support you have given me"

About: Mental Health Services / Perinatal Mental Health Team

(as a service user),

I was referred to this service by my health visitor after the birth of my son around May 2024. I was struggling with the demands of a new baby amongst other things. This team were amazing from the off go, took the time to listen to me, and try understand where my head was at, from medication to talking therapy they were just so empathetic. I never once felt judged or ashamed to open up infact the complete opposite I always felt completely supported and encouraged to tell them exactly how I felt. 

I am nearing the end of my time with this service and from the bottom of my heart I cannot truly thank them enough, I genuinely don't know where I would have been or how I'd have coped if this remarkable team of people didnt step in when they did. Morag, Allana, Dr Gleadow and Christina you really are true life angels and I am so thankful for all the support you have given me and my boys!

Dear Jem86, thanks for taking the time to provide such positive feedback on your experience of being supported by the perinatal team. The arrival of a new baby can often be overwhelming and I'm delighted to hear the whole team offered you the appropriate support when you needed it.
