"They are an amazing team"

About: Community Respiratory Care / Community Respiratory Service (Armagh & Dungannon) Community Respiratory Care / COPD Clinic Armagh

(as the patient),

Early Feb 2025 I started my first class on the pulmonary rehab classes at Mullinure Health and wellbeing centre! I was honestly so nervous but the girls put me at ease straight away especially Colette a respiratory physiotherapist specialist!

I ended up in hospital back in May 2024 stayed for 11 days! I have emphysema COPD I was so scared about becoming breathless and what I should do! I wanted to get healthy but before these classes I didn’t know how!

Everyone was amazing over the 7 weeks! I learnt a lot about my physical fitness, about my lungs and how to exercise safely! It was honestly the best classes and really helped with my anxiety and being with other people in the group was good, knowing I was not alone! I made a lot of progress and the girls give me the courage and know how to continue with my exercises and health!

They are an amazing team!

Good am

What lovely feedback to receive, thankyou so much for taking the time to send that in! It is a big step for many patients coming to Pulmonary rehabilitation but well done for taking that step and embracing the learning and exercises. This has been shown to be the one of the best things you can do to stay well, reduce flare ups and hospital admissions. It is great to hear the team were a great support this is just one of the aspects of the care the team provide and I know they thoroughly enjoy delivering this and helping patients on this journey.

Don't be afraid to reach out to the team should you need any advise and support in managing your respiratory condition, it is our pleasure to help.

I look forward to passing this lovely feedback onto the A&D Community Respiratory Team and Colette in particular.

Thankyou
