I had an ultrasound done on my abdomen which I was told was urgent. I did this on 15th March. I was told I should hear back in 3 days but if not I should chase as the person doing the ultrasound had mentioned scarring. I phoned on the 24th March after hearing no word and was nr 30 in the quene for test results - which I continued to be for 30 minutes before hanging up. I contacted 25th March and after 25 minutes got through. It seems my report only arrived today - which was not in sync with what I was told at the appointment. Even if this was rhe case, a courtesy update would be appreciated. Furthermore I have no timeline on when I will hear back on the report but hoping this is in the next day or two. My frustration was increased as the person on the phone seemed to just be going through the motions rather than listening to me and when I would try to speak, would start talking over me. I had to ask them to let me speak as I was not being heard, and while this was met, it was with a condescending tone. I appreciate the service thst the NHS and it's staff provide and how hard this is - my family member is a nurse. However this is not always one way and I have felt very deflated by today's experience which makes me not want to deal with these matters or bother.
