I was admitted to 3 South on Friday morning due to a blocked bowel obstruction.
From the onset, I couldn’t have wished for better care from Nursing staff to doctor staff to facilities staff etc.
My mother and husband have constantly commented on how friendly, helpful and empathetic the staff are.
I have stayed on quite a few wards in this hospital over the last two years and I can absolutely say that 3 South is the nicest atmosphere of any hospital ward I’ve been in on the southern trust.
I would like to put in a special word of praise and thanks for an an extremely capable, caring, friendly and efficient nurse called Megha. She is a huge asset to this ward and the hospital staff in general. Her qualities were constantly commented on by any visitors I have had also.
On the day of discharge, Megha had everything organised and ready to go, including facilitating the medication I need to go home with. She was always there when she was needed and remembered correct times of pain relief to administer no matter how busy things were on the ward. She came into the room with a huge smile on her face each time that just made you want to smile.
She is a fantastic nurse and one that I would love to be under the care of every day of the week.
