I called into A&E at GRI as i was having problems with my heart, I was triaged within a few minutes of booking in.
Assessed by the Triage nurse and an assessment was commenced. The staff were great and took stress away from me, and filtered me on to the next step of the process.
I was moved to zone 4 AAU and was greeted by a charge nurse and health care support worker who was extremely busy and equally as caring and understanding, they listen to me and understood that I was extremely anxious and worried. Thought out the day i was seen by the doctor who was equally as caring and understanding, the staff were so busy but made sure we were comfortable and we had diet and fluids on board.
I attended A&E xray and CT staff were lovely caring and supportive and made my experience, as positive as it could be but equally well informed of the process and what will happen during the investigation.
After all my results came back the doctor made me aware of his finding and reassured me that and told me what to expect next.
I have to say at a time where there are extreme pressures on the NHS, my experience today was fantastic, I felt cared for, and equally well informed
"Fantastic care"
