"An amazing level of care and attention"

I had been in majors B, Royal Victoria Hospital ED, for almost 12 hours with my mother. The treatment, attention, dedication and care of all staff involved in her care has been first class. I am aware of the pressures faced by staff but this in no way took away from the care provided.

My mum's treatment and care was carried out with such compassion and dignity. The nurse in charge of her care was Niamh. Nursing assistants, nurses and medics showed an amazing level of care and attention. I will be forever grateful for this.

I’m John Barron, Service Manager for Urgent and Emergency Care. Thank you for taking time to share your experience of the ED staff involved in your mum's care. I’ll be sure to pass on your kind words to the team, particularly Niamh. It's always an encouragement for staff to hear how individual patients and relatives are impacted by their care.

Best regards

John
