"I feel so lucky to have been part of the Continuity service"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / Maternity care Southern Health & Social Care Trust / Continuity of Midwifery Carer Service

(as the patient),

Throughout my pregnancy, I was looked after by Suzanne in the COMC team. I was so well looked after and felt so cared for. I feel so lucky that I was part of the Continuity care, as it made such a difference to my pregnancy journey.

Everyone I encountered throughout my journey was incredible - my consultant, Dr Henderson, was so attentive and also cared for me so well. The nurses on the Induction Bay were also so kind. Suzanne was there for the birth of my baby girl and I was also well looked after during labour by Sarah, who was so supportive and encouraging. The post natal care was also fantastic - midwife Mairead was incredible and so professional.

Suzanne continued my care with home visits and was support also by Gillian, who was so kind and caring in the days after me giving birth. I feel so lucky to have been part of the Continuity service.
