"Made a tricky situation so much easier"

About: Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / 23 Hour Unit ( Ward 1A) Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Day surgery

(as a parent/guardian),

My son recently was treated by Dr Aly Walker which was second to none. He is a twin having a neck surgery (age 8). He was anxious and Aly spoke to him and explained his options at a level very suited to him.

She supported me as mum as I was handing him over and then before he was brought to ward had left an awesome achievement award for him to wake up to. It was personal to him, inspiring and generally uplifting.

On the day to take that extra few minutes to really speak with him before our process began and make him feel he had choices but to then take time out to create a special moment - just brilliant and so very much appreciated.

Made a tricky situation so much easier - thank you so so much !!

Hi beidgc44

Many thanks for leaving such fantastic feedback regarding your recent visit to Day surgery/1A. I'm pleased you stay was as stress free as is possible when having to bring your child in for surgery. It is a daunting time for you both and I hope your son is recovering well at home. I will pass on your kind comments to Aly Walker.

Thank you once again.

Kind regards

Suzanne Pearson
