I went to a walk in clinic for a smear test, no appointment needed. You need to be prepared to wait a while but its worth waiting if it saves your life!

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide your feedback via NHS Choices, it is greatly appreciated. I am so pleased that you found the walk in clinic beneficial. We will continue to provide these throughout the year for patients who find it difficult to attend a weekday appointment.
We do have a further nurse starting the cervical smear training very soon, so we maybe able to increase capacity later in the year so as to reduce the waiting time.
