"Recent hospital admission with stroke"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Elderly Medicine (Wards 51, 52, 54,55, 57, 8a & 2a)

(as the patient),

I was admitted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital via A&E in late October 2024 with a stroke. I was then transferred to Ward 57, Langlands Unit, for stroke rehabilitation.

I spent approximately five months there and was discharged in late March. This was a very harrowing and life-changing experience. However, it was made bearable due to the care and attitude of the nurses and especially the health care support team.

Two individuals in particular, Angela and Lyndsay, were attentive, kind, and caring. All the team, ranging from the domestics to the senior nurses, were very good.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank them.

Dear Bud bhoy,

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your recent stay within Ward 57.

The Senior Charge Nurse will share with the multidisciplinary team and the individuals you have mentioned.

We wish you all the best at home. Take Care.

Kind Regards,

Rebecca Fulton, Interim Clinical Service Manager
