"My hernia repair"

About: New Stobhill Hospital / Theatres, Recovery and Anaesthetics

(as the patient),

I attended Stobhill Hospital for day surgery mid March.

My appointment was early morning for a procedure an hour later, I was taken from reception to the surgical preparation area, introduced to the nursing staff, 2 anaesthetists and 2 surgeons, all very present and reassuring.

After being prep'd I was taken for a general anaesthetic and on to surgery, I recovered a little later back in the pre-operation area and was spoken to by a number of nursing staff and offered coffee and biscuits. I left the hospital at approximately 13.30.

I felt a little tightness but no real pain.

I would like to thank all the hospital staff for a caring and respectful experience.

To any future patients please be reassured of the best possible treatment at Stobhill.
