(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter recently had a tonsillectomy at Monklands hospital day surgery. We had an excellent experience on the day of surgery.

All the staff we met were amazing with my little girl and put us all at ease. Everything was so well organised and communication from everyone was great.

My daughter was so nervous but all the staff made her relax and she was not distressed at all like I anticipated she might be. 

I can’t thank the team enough for making this a less anxious experience and the great service.

Thank you so much for taking the time to tell us about your recent experience in our Day Surgery Unit when your daughter was having her tonsils removed.

The staff will be pleased to receive such lovely feedback and I will make sure this is shared with them.

Attending for surgery is stressful for everyone and even more so for a child - I am glad that the staff were able to make you both feel less anxious.
